To "THE MEMBERS OF TEAMMBTD"

Dear All,

TEAM-MBTD, the Division of Marine Biotechnology, CMFRI, wishes you all a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2013.

For the past 1¹/₂ years, Team-MBTD is active in R&D and related activities - Scientific interactions, Seminars by scientists and scholars, Research writing and publishing, along with group joints and celebrations. To make the occasions more memorable, birthdays and special events are organized with great enthusiasm, which brings unity and positive ambiance among the team.

As we are stepping into a new year, let us give a new dimension to our activities with better objectives, by taking inspiration from the words of Swami Vivekananda “They alone live who live for others, rest are dead than alive”. To live a meaningful life, let us join our hands and thoughts to support the deprived. To elevate our deeds to new horizons, we can extend our hands to help the needy of our society and uplift their lives.

Our new endeavor aims to initiate by providing medical and educational support for the needy. Even though, our efforts are like rain drops, we the TEAM can work to make it an emerging flow like a river to contribute the mighty ocean. As wisely said by Gandhiji “The simplest acts of kindness are far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer”. We welcome all the members, including the alumni, to contribute their ideas and suggestions to make the venture a great success. As the entire program depends on the financial strength, all members are requested to make their generous contributions towards this. A meeting of members will be conducted in due course to discuss the future plans and for effective implementation of the objectives. It is appealing to have the presence of all members, out station MBTD staffs (from other regional centers of CMFRI) and alumni for the meeting. Possibly we need to open a Bank Account, to make things easy and accountable.

By adding a quote from Upanishad “Your country requires heroes; be heroes; your duty is to go on working, then everything will follow of itself”, wishing all success to TEAM-MBTD.
